Family of missing Georgia man, law enforcement continue search

A search is underway for a missing 28 year old man from Georgia who disappeared at the Talladega Superspeedway over the weekend. ABC 33/40 spoke with his family who traveled from Indiana to search for him. 

28-year-old Nicholas Bower was last seen in the campground area just behind the Speedway. His girlfriend, Jennifer Boesch, said the last time she saw Bower was when she went to sleep.

"I went to sleep and he stayed up with some friends after he came and helped me set up a little bed in the truck," Boesch said. "I woke up around 12:30. He wasn't anywhere to be found."

Boesch was one of the last people who saw him that night, and for four days now, she has searched and waited, hoping for his return.

"It's been a nightmare," Boesch said. "Nick and I went to high school together. We moved down here from Indiana together. He's my life. I can't imagine a life without Nick."

"We want to find him," Donna Bower, Nick's mother signed. "We want to know where he is. We don't want this ongoing."

Nick Bower is originally from Indianapolis but has been living in Villa Rica, Ga., working for the Fastenal company in Atlanta. He was last seen wearing a sweatshirt with the company logo along with a black hat. He is 6'4 and weighs about 185 pounds.

"He is known to have some drinks and wander but there's no reason why, especially more than a few hours that he would be gone," Bower's sister, Bridget Chambers said. 

"If anybody has any information, please come forward," Boesch said.
