The search continues for Nicholas Bower, the Georgia man who went missing last weekend while camping at Talladega Superspeedway.

Although the family has been without their loved one for several days now, they remain encouraged by what investigators have told them.

"We're trying to keep hope." Bower's sister, Bridget Chambers, said Thursday. "They haven't found anything so that's promising."

Law enforcement has informed Chambers that the search for her 28-year-old brother has shifted its focus to the west lot of the race track, but they continue to canvas the entire property, ruling out locations along the way.

"Today they cleared the water where the creek meets up with the river. They cleared that area." Chambers said. "They did receive phone calls from some people at the race that say they saw them in the west lot."

ABC 33/40's Larry Miller went by a portion of the west lot Thursday afternoon only to find it abandoned and the entrance to the campground locked.

As the search party forges on, Bower's family remains dumbfounded as to how or why their loved one went missing.

"It's not characteristic of him just to up and leave by himself. He may walk off with a friend but all of his friends that were with him are accounted for." Chambers said.

More family members have arrived in Talladega to join in on the search and to support each other during the grueling process. Other law enforcement agencies have also shown up to aid in the search efforts.

"I firmly believe they are doing everything that they can. So, I'm hopeful." Chambers said.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Bower, please contact the Talladega County Sheriff's Office at 256-362-6117.
