Etowah Co. sheriff to hold news conference Monday on 'disturbing tragedy occurring weekly'

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, District Attorney Jimmie Harp and the Etowah County Department of Human Resources plan to hold a news conference Monday.

"A disturbing tragedy is occurring weekly in Etowah County as pregnant women are choosing to chemically endanger their unborn child," said Sheriff Entrekin in a news release. "We will stand together as concerned law enforcement and social service professionals to fight this troubling issue."

The news conference is scheduled for 11 a.m.
