An incredible amount of rain fell on the East Alabama area Saturday morning, flooding homes and roads. It even turned Justin Lackey's farm into a lake.

"Water just came up that quick. It flooded and pushed fences over. It's just a mess," says Lackey.

The heavy rain prompted ALDOT to shut down parts of Hwy. 21 in Munford and several other roads.

Alabama power reported that more than 1300 customers lost power in the Anniston area. But rescue crews are doing all they can to help.

Ralph Wallace with Talladega Rescue says, "Anyone that's trapped in their homes, we're trying to get to them. If they need assistance, we can get them to shelter."

Wallace says several people have been taken to Spring St. recreation center for shelter.
