Our recipe column this month is about using fresh ingredients from the Farmers' Markets to make food with kids.
Here's a fun recipe that's great on chips or pita and would also be good on fish.
1 large ripe banana, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup diced red bell pepper
1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 roasted jalapeno pepper
2 TBLS brown sugar
1 TBLS minced fresh ginger
3 TBLS lime juice
1 TBLS olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
Few grinds of black pepper
Cover and chill for 2 hours before serving.
