Detectives are looking for help locating a 22-year-old man believed to be a person of interest in a hit and run accident earlier this month.

Tulsa Police stated that on June 6 a man, later identified as David Swift, was hit by a car while walking in the Walmart parking lot near 81st and Lewis. The speeding vehicle then continued and ran into the front of the store with the driver fleeing the scene on foot.

According to a release from TPD this afternoon, authorities with the Riverside Division Traffic Unit have identified that driver in the accident as Silas Carey. It is believed he is residing in the Tulsa area.

Despite suffering several broken bones and being seriously injured, Swift was talkative with officers during the time of the incident and transferred to an area hospital.
