Tulsa Teens Team Up with TPD To Help with Moore Cleanup Efforts

Posted: Updated:

Several Tulsa Police officers and young adults are teaming up and heading to Moore Friday to help with clean-up efforts in the tornado-ravaged city.

Members of the Tulsa Police Explorers wanted to help tornado victims in some way, and after some planning in coordination with TPD, will travel to Moore Friday to lend a hand.

The Explorers are young adults ages 15 to 18 who have expressed interest in law enforcement.

The group will leave 7 a.m. Friday and return around 8 p.m.

By participating in the community effort, the Explorers will earn their Emergency Preparedness Ribbon, which is part of their program.

Thursday marks one month since an EF 5 tornado severely damaged the city and claimed 24 lives.
