Felix Jones hosted the 5th Annual "Believe and Achieve in 2013" Football and Life Skills Academy at Booker T. Washington's S. E. Williams Field Saturday.

The "Believe and Achieve in 2013" Football and Life Skills Academy is a free football camp for high school students presented by Felix Jones, running back for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Felix, along with several NFL co-hosts emphasized teamwork, healthy competition and skill development.  The Academy also promotes the development of life skills intended to help students excel beyond football.

The Academy provides a fun learning environment for learning both on and off the field. The focus is to teach new skills and strengthen the skills the players already possess.

This year Jones is partnering with Vision In Progress (V.I.P.) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). V.I.P., the brain child of Reverend Orville Baul and cofounder Marqual Baul was created as an alternative to gang participation and a way to enhance social skills.

According to a press release, the camp was created to (1) assist students with the fulfillment of their athletic goals; and (2) to stress the importance of being more than an athlete by focusing their attention on the academic and life skills essential to successfully transition from high school to college.
