A domestic dispute led to murder in a midtown Tulsa home Thursday evening.

Tulsa Police officers were called to a home in the 5900 block of E. 24th Place around 5:40 p.m. Thursday by a woman reporting a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Samuel Adkin's sitting in the bed of a pickup truck parked in the driveway. Adkins' mother was the one who had called 911.

Inside the home, police found Chuck Wayne Buckhorn, 36, dead from some sort of struggle. The men were somehow related.

According to police, there was enough evidence collected from the scene and from interviews of Adkins and his mother to arrest Samuel Adkins for second-degree murder.

He is being held in the Tulsa Co. Jail on a half-million dollar bond.

This is Tulsa's 34th murder of the year.
