T-Town Rundown: Grab Your Friends, Family and Get Outside

Posted: Updated:

It's finally Friday and the weekend is ready with plenty of activities for your friends and family.

Here are just some of the things you can do in the Tulsa area:

Get out of town: Head to Bixby for this year's Green Corn Festival over at Charley Young Park. Admission is free for all and you can find music, food and lots of lemonade to cool you down. And why not head to the festival early Saturday morning for the Green Corn Parade at 10 a.m.

Looking for some music: Get to River Spirit for performances from Lonestar and Chris Daughtry. The first takes place Friday night at 7 p.m. and the second on Sunday at the same time. Tickets can be purchased on the casino's website or at the box office. Both acts are sure to please any music lover.

Go back in time: Do you miss high school? Wish you could relive prom night? Well look no further than the Hunt Club's 1st annual Zombie Prom. This show begins at 8 p.m. and goes late into the night for all those ghouls and ghoul-ettes. Food, beer and fun are all awaiting you.

Get your heart pumping: If you're looking to check out some old-fashion dodge ball head to the BOK Center for this summer's Dodgebrawl 2013. Several teams have gotten together to go against the best of the best in Tulsa. Admission to event is free and begins Saturday at 10 a.m.

Something for the kids: Get up to Bartlesville for Kidsfest at Woolaroc taking place Saturday through Sunday. Kids and their parents can make some crafts, enjoy some snacks and even do some face-painting.
