TULSA, Okla. -

The Tulsa Revolution announced today Williams will be the premiere sponsor for the team's inaugural season in the Professional Arena Soccer League. The Williams brand will be featured on the team's uniforms, in advertising and promotional material.

"We are excited and honored to have a company the caliber of Williams eager to align themselves with our team," said Revolution co-owner Adam Mellor. "Williams is a great supporter of the Tulsa community, and this relationship will prove mutually beneficial in meeting our goal of making an impact in the community."

Not only does the Revolution want to make a splash in the ranks of professional indoor soccer, but the team is also interested in making an impact in local youth soccer.

"We are dedicated to giving back to the soccer community throughout the area," said co-owner Shannon Clark. "Our players are going to be very visible in the community by providing youth clinics and taking part in fund raising events. It is important to us to grow a strong interest for the arena brand of soccer, and help the young players develop both their indoor and outdoor skills."

The Revolution also introduced the team's head coach, Michael Nsien, a Tulsa native who played collegiate soccer at the University of Dayton. Nsien has professional soccer experience with the L.A. Galaxy (MLS) and the Portland Timbers (USL), and most recently as a coach with the Tulsa Soccer Club Hurricane.

There will be an open tryout for Revolution players beginning July 13, at All-Star Sports Complex, 61st St. at Highway 169. Pre-registration is required and there is a registration fee of $50 for anyone interested in taking part in the tryout. Players can register on the team's website; www.tulsarevolution.com. The deadline to register is July 12.

Also introduced at the press conference is the Revolution's cheer squad coach Stephanie Wykoff. The cheer squad will be known as the "Ladies of Liberty" and will hold an open tryout beginning July 19, in the Mabee Gym at the University of Tulsa. Ladies interested in trying out are asked to register in advance on the team's web site.

The Professional Arena Soccer League has 20 teams throughout the U.S. and includes one team in Tijuana, Mexico. The 2013-14 season will begin in November.
