Sand Springs police arrested a 26-year-old man earlier this week on suspicion of embezzlement at a pizza restaurant

Officers placed Jerry Ray Chronister II of Sand Springs under arrest on a felony complaint of embezzlement after Mazzio's discovered money missing through an internal investigation. This happened at one of the locations in south Sand Springs.

KTUL's community newspaper partner, the Sand Springs Leader, reported that through an internal investigation, approximately $3,200 went missing between May 25 and June 22. The investigation also turned up that money went missing each night Chronister worked during that period and a safe was possibly left open each time money was taken.

Chronister admitted to taking $200-300 at a time via an unlocked safe after being question by his manager, according to the booking report.

Back in April, another Mazzio's employee was arrested on embezzlement complaints. Police reports describe that he allegedly took "just over $20,000."

Chronister was arrested and transferred to Tulsa County Jail. His bond was set at $4,000.
