Okmulgee County -
Okmulgee County authorities arrested two men over the weekend suspected of stealing copper and eluding their arrest.
Deputies placed Michael Burns and Ryan Talley under arrest Sunday morning. They were booked on complaints of burglary and larceny after they were reportedly found stealing copper from an area out west of Okmulgee County.
According to a release from the sheriffs office, deputies responded to the area near Dentonville and Kennedy Roads after they were notified of a copper theft in progress. Burns and Talley left the area on foot before officers arrived, but left their vehicle at the scene.

After further investigation, Burns and Talley were located further north on Dentonville Road and taken into custody. Both were booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on the complaints listed above.
