The McIntosh County District Attorney's office says the boat driver in July 4th's deadly hit-and-run boat crash has been identified.
An accident report indicates Ryan Shumway, 30, from McAlester was driving the boat with his family near Eufaula Cove on Lake Eufaula when his boat crashed into two others.
Troopers say two boats were anchored together when Shumway's boat hit the bow going 30 miles per hour. The impact caused the boat to go airborne and land on the other two.
Gary McIninch, 55, was ejected. Rescue crews recovered McIninch's body two days later.
Shumway was with his wife and two kids when the accident happened. Several passengers were also involved in the two other boats.
According to DPS, Shumway's attorney has been in contact with the District Attorney's office, though Shumway has not yet been charged.
DPS is now processing the boat and the investigation continues.
