Gas Buy down Lowering Pump Price 50-Cents a Gallon Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

The cost of gas spiked 16-cents this week, but an Owasso church and gas station are hoping to relieve some of the pressure at the pump with a gas buy down Wednesday evening.

Friendship Baptist Church and the Sunny's Kwik Stop Shell station at 11700 E 86th St N. in  Owasso will lower the price of gas 50-cents a gallon from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The church will pay the difference, as a way of community outreach and spreading goodwill.

Church members hold a buy down once or twice a year.
