Tulsa Public Schools will hold a community forum to discuss the possible sale of the old Chouteau elementary school Thursday evening.

The district has received an offer from John 3:16 Mission to buy the property for $700,000 and plans to use it to expand its existing programs.

The school was closed back in 2011 as part of "Project Schoolhouse" and students were relocated to the building that housed the former Madison Elementary.

The forum will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the site, 575 N. 39th W. Ave.

Nearby property owners were informed about the possible purchase by letter.
