An Oklahoma City police officer shot and killed a man during a confrontation at a rap concert Thursday evening.
According to police, uniformed off-duty OCPD officers were patrolling the outside of the Farmer's Market as security for the Chief Keef concert when they saw a man either sleeping or passed out behind the wheel of a car.
Two uniformed officers saw a handgun in the man's waistband and gave orders, but according to authorities, the man refused to comply.
That led to an armed confrontation and the man, whose identity has not been released, was shot and killed.
Only one of two officers fired at the subject.
That officer was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigations.
The investigation will be forwarded to the Oklahoma County District Attorney upon its completion.
