Man Critically Injured In East Tulsa Crash

Posted: Updated:

A man is sent to the hospital in critical condition following a car crash in east Tulsa.

Tulsa police got the call early Monday from an alert motorist at the Mingo traffic circle on Admiral Place.

Sergeant Darren Bristow said witness saw the man pull out of the Vegas Club less than a mile away, just a few minutes before the crash.

The driver didn't make the circle, and barreled into the center at more than 50 miles an hour. His car smashed into one of the telephone poles in the roundabout's center. There's no word on what may have caused him to crash.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the man from his car. There was no indication in the man's car or on his body that he was using alcohol. A blood test from the hospital will be used to make the final determination.
