Cold Case: Preliminary Hearing Set for Man Charged in Creek County Murders

An Oklahoma man charged with being an accessory after the fact of first-degree murder in the 1992 disappearance and deaths of 2 women and a girl is due in court.

Grover Prewitt Jr. was charged after the bodies of Wendy Camp; her 6-year-old daughter, Cynthia Britto; and Camp's sister-in-law, Lisa Kregear; were found.

His preliminary hearing is slated for Friday in Creek County. Prewitt has pleaded not guilty.

The bodies were found in April buried on land that Grover and his late mother, Ida Prewitt, owned.

Prewitt told investigators he dug a hole for a septic tank and that, after the women and girl disappeared, his mother asked him to fill it and sprinkle the ground with pepper to cover odors.

Prewitt said he did as his mother asked.
