A passenger rail connecting Tulsa and Oklahoma City could become a reality, but the Oklahoma Department of Transportation wants the public's input before moving forward.
Three public scoping meetings are scheduled for August, giving people a chance to provide feedback regarding the Corridor Investment Plan, a planned study that includes an evaluation of service options, investment requirements and environmental impacts.
The project extends on both north and south sides of I-44, between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
ODOT will conduct the study in three phases, expected to be complete by 2015.
