Second Arrest Made in TPD Officer-Involved Shooting

Posted: Updated:

Tulsa Police now have another man in custody in connection with a standoff and officer-involved shooting last Sunday.

Craig Middleton, 27, was arrested Thursday on a charge of robbery with a dangerous weapon for his role in the incident.

On Sunday, two men went into the U-Stop on 2520 Mohawk Blvd., showed handguns and demanded cash. After getting cash and cigarettes, the two men fled the scene.

The pair was later found by police at the Mohawk Manor Apartments at 2545 E. 37th St. N., which resulted in a standoff between them and police.

One suspect, a 17-year-old man, was shot after police said he confronted an officer with a weapon.

According to police, he remains hospitalized as of Friday.

The other suspect, Juan Alvarez, was arrested and during his interview, told police that Middleton was the lookout during the robbery.

Middleton is jailed on a $50,000 bond.
