A Tulsa couple is behind bars after three children were found living in filthy conditions, according to police.
Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of N. 76th E. Ave. around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday by DHS to check on the welfare of three children.
According to a booking report, when officers entered the home, they found "a strong odor of trash, urine, spilled rotten food, and feces" coming from inside.
Once inside, police said there was "trash, dirty diapers, spoiled food, empty soda cans, broken glass, dirty dishes and electrical hazards" throughout the entire home, as well as "thousands of flies and cockroaches."
A cockroach nest was also discovered above one of the children's bed, police said.
Police said there were three adults and three children living in the home, and the adults kept saying this house was "not as bad as the last time."
Matthew Prior, 27, and Angela Prior, 21, were both arrested.
Both face three counts of child abuse/neglect and are being held in the Tulsa Co. Jail on a $150,000 bond.
Angela Prior was also charged with obstructing/interfering with a police officer.
