Sidewalk Film Festival takes look at Civil Rights Movement

BIRMINGHAM - AL -

The Sidewalk Film Festival wraps up Sunday night. But it won't do so without paying homage to Birmingham's 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement.

There was a panel discussion about Spike Lee's film "4 Little Girls" Sunday afternoon. A producer joined attorney Doug Jones who prosecuted the case and survivor Caroline McKinstry for the talk. They discussed the film's role in preserving the story and its power to change people's hearts and minds.

The film takes a look at the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church that killed four girls in Sunday school.

The festival ends following a 9:30 p.m. awards show and presentation on a movie about chess. For more information, click here.
