Officers arrested a 54-year-old man over the weekend on suspicion of raping a woman at a north Tulsa residence.

Tulsa Police placed Tony Anderson in custody late Saturday and booked him on one count of first degree rape. He was transported from the residence where the crime allegedly took place near the 2400 block of E. Newton St.

According to the booking report, when officers arrived at the residence a witness told them her aunt was "inside being raped." Anderson came to the door after officers knocked numerous times.

"Anderson was dressed in a shirt and pants but he was visibly aroused," an officer stated in his report.

Officers witnessed the female victim directly behind him on the floor "completely nude and crying." He added that he saw her clothes on the floor near her.

Both the victim and the witness stated that Anderson claimed "he was going to have sex with the victim" prior to "tearing her clothes off."
