The Sand Springs man accused of killing his mother and running with his child to Texas is now behind bars in an Oklahoma jail.

Robert Connor III was booked into the Osage County Detention Center around 5 p.m. Tuesday, after waiving extradition and being picked up by Oklahoma investigators from Lewisville, Texas, where he was taken into custody last week.

He is expected to be formally charged with first-degree murder and child endangerment during his first court appearance on Wednesday.

According to Charlie Cartwright, the chief Criminal Investigator at the Osage County Sheriff's Office, Connor waived extradition last week.

Police stated previously that he shot and killed his mother, Deborah Connor, over an argument about money before abducting one of his sons and triggering an Amber Alert. A ten-year-old son was left behind.

Connor has been held in a Texas jail without bond ever since.
