Older Couple Finds Love at Tulsa Retirement Community

Posted: Updated:

Two residents of a Tulsa retirement community proved over the weekend it's never too late to find love.

It was love at first sight for 83-year-old Maxine Choate and 82-year-old Stewart Getman. Both are residents of the Broadmoor Retirement Community in midtown Tulsa.

Both of them had only been dating for three months when Stewart made the decision to propose. According to the event's invitation, the couple originally wanted to run off and elope.

But when family and friends received word of their impending nuptials, Maxine and Stewart were talked into having a ceremony at the Broadmoor.

And that ceremony took place last weekend.
