Tulsa's Librarium Opens for Area Visitors

Tulsa's newest and temporary library opened to the public Tuesday morning during a ribbon cutting ceremony marking the event.

Officials the with the Tulsa City-County Library hosted the event at the new Librarium on the corner of 11th and Denver. At the ceremony were Mayor Dewey Bartlett, Senator Jabar Shumate and members of the Tulsa Regional Chamber.

According to the release, the Librarium is the the temporary branch for the Central Library while it undergoes a two-year renovation. The new facility will showcase the latest in new library services and equipment "geared to the changing needs of the 21st century customer."

Those in attendance were able to tour the Librarium and experience all of its newest features. Additionally, Mayor Bartlett proclaimed September "Tulsa Library Card Sign Up Month."
