Tulsa Police have two people in custody following a string of five armed robberies over the span of two hours around the Katy Trail near downtown Tulsa early Tuesday morning.

17-year-old Travon Williams and 20-year-old Juan Cox have been arrested on five counts of armed robbery and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.

Cox is being held at the Tulsa Co. Jail on a $400,000 bond.

According to a booking report, it all began around 5:45 a.m. Officers were flagged down near 900 W. Archer, where a victim told them the pair shot him in the leg and stole his white bike.

Police say the suspects went west down the Katy Bike Trail and saw another man riding a blue bike, pointed a gun at him and stole his bike, knife, phone, socks and shoes.

The pair then kept going west on the trail and saw a man on foot, who told police the suspects pointed a gun at the back of his head, pistol whipped him and stole his wallet. According to the booking report, the two told him to run away and shot pistols at him as he ran.

Police said the pair then encountered a fourth victim on the trail, who told officers he was also pistol-whipped and robbed of his cell phone, wallet and birth certificate.

The fifth person came across the suspects around 2500 West Katy Trail. He told police that the suspects, Williams and Cox, acted like they were police officers placing him under arrest.

They pointed a gun at him and after a struggle, they assaulted him and stole his backpack, the report stated.

Around 7:25 a.m., police found Cox and Williams around 3800 West Katy Trail. Police say Williams ran away, while Cox was taken into custody.

A K-9 officer and his partner eventually found Cox and arrested him as well.

The report states both confessed to all of the robberies and two shootings. They were also positively identified by the victims.
