Tulsa Shock center Elizabeth Cambage will be out for the remainder of the 2013 season with a left sprained ankle.
Cambage's status was day-to-day after the injury, but the injury has not healed as expected. Cambage will be traveling home to Australia on Wednesday to begin rehab on her ankle.
Cambage, the Shock's leading scorer, injured her ankle during a game against the Los Angeles Sparks last month. She left the game with 6:35 remaining in regulation and did not return. Cambage said at the time she rolled the same ankle that she injured earlier this season.
Cambage averaged 16.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in 20 games and won Western Conference Player of the Week twice in 2013.
