A driver's encounter with a pole sends him on a wild ride overnight Monday.
Tulsa police said the man was headed west on Southwest Boulevard near 41st street around 1:15am when the trouble began.
They aren't sure how it happened, but police said the man lost control and hit a light pole. The impact tore off one of the truck's wheels, and from there, the truck flipped on its side and slid for hundreds of feet.
The driver wasn't hurt. Police don't believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
