Authorities were notified of the suspect's whereabouts in north Tulsa in the area of 46th Street North and Lewis Avenue. It was there that they found him in a vehicle and were lead on the short pursuit as he resisted his arrest.
Officers at the scene told KTUL that the man was arrested in a nearby neighborhood but were not able to release his name. Undercover cops had been tracking the man for some time.
Tulsa Public Schools placed McLain High School and Penn Elementary School on a modified lockdown during the pursuit. A spokeswoman for TPS told KTUL that this was a routine procedure during incidents involving suspects in school areas.
