Boone Pickens No Longer A Billionaire

Posted: Updated:

For the first time since 2005, energy mogul Boone Pickens fell from the "Forbes 400 Definitive List of Richest Americans."

Once established as a billionaire, Pickens fell off the list and was deemed a measly millionaire. The eighty-four year old Oklahoma native is now estimated to have a net worth of $950 million.

Pickens made his fortune in the 80s by acquiring more than a few energy companies as well as forming BP Capital Fund in 1997.

Other Oklahomans who made the list of richest Americans include: George Kaiser, Lynn Schusterman, David Green, and Tom and Judy Love. A total of 34 people were reported to have fallen off the list due to death or bad luck in the markets.
