Detectives have identified the body of man found in an empty lot near McLain High School earlier this week.
Tulsa Police stated that the body was discovered by a man contracted by the City of Tulsa to mow the area. On Thursday authorities stated that the body was tentatively identified as Terrance Monroe Washington.
"Positive identification will have to be determined by the Medical Examiner," the release went on to state.
Investigators added that at the time of discovery, the body was badly decomposed. A cause of death or what happened will not be known until further investigation by the Oklahoma Medical Examiners office.
Officers are collecting evidence at the scene, but any details of what could have happened remain unknown.
This is a developing story and information will be updated as it is verified.
