A Sand Springs man was taken into custody this week on complaints of lewd molestation of a minor and kidnapping.

Sand Springs Police arrested Christopher Ryan Hamilton on Monday at his residence. This was after refusing to allow officers to search his apartment for a missing 13-year-old girl.

According to a report from the Sand Springs Leader, the girl went missing from her home near the 1100 block of N. Wilson Ave. Officers were informed that she was reportedly developmentally disabled with the mental capacity of a six-year-old.

Neighbors told her mother that the girl was seen entering Hamilton's apartment which is located in an apartment complex nearby. She notified officers who then responded to his apartment.

According to the article, officers found the girl in a closer after Hamilton allowed them inside. She reportedly told officers that he kissed her on the cheek and put his hand in her pocket and touched her underwear.

In addition to the above charges, Hamilton also faces a misdemeanor obstruction complaint. He is due in court next week.
