One charge of lewd molestation was filed Wednesday against a Sand Springs man accused of kidnapping and inappropriately touching a mentally disabled girl.
Oklahoma prosecutors filed one count of lewd molestation against Christopher Hamilton. He was arrested last week after police reportedly found he had been keeping a 13-year-old mentally disabled girl in his closet.
And on Wednesday, Hamilton appeared before a Tulsa courtroom for his arraignment where he entered a not guilty plea. He is set to return for a preliminary hearing in October.
According to a report from the Sand Springs Leader, the girl went missing from her home near the 1100 block of N. Wilson Ave. Officers were informed that she was reportedly developmentally disabled with the mental capacity of a six-year-old.
According to the article, officers found the girl in a closet after Hamilton allowed them inside. She reportedly told officers that he kissed her on the cheek and put his hand in her pocket and touched her underwear.
