Our cameras got a tour of the new AMC Southroads 20 at 41st St. and S. Yale.
The multimillion dollar theatre is one of the most luxurious in the state.
Crews have been renovating the outdated carpeting and decorations, but one of the biggest features are the reclining chairs.
You can put your feet up and lay as far back as you want.
Theatre officials say it's a company-wide goal to get you out of the house and into the theatre, especially in the days of on-demand entertainment.
"We want to bring people out to the movies. We want to bring people out more often, and we want people who haven't been to a movie come back out and experience it again," says Ryan Noonan, spokesperson for AMC.
The bigger chairs mean fewer tickets to sell in each theatre, so that means ticket prices could go up.
An expanded menu at the snack bar will offer more options like chicken fingers and more drink choices.
Coming soon, you will be able to reserve your seat, which will be convenient for the weekends and for new releases.
