"I'm personally affected by it. I'm a veteran, I just relocated from elsewhere I need to move my veteran's healthcare enrollment here, and as far as I know I can't do that right now," said Rod Proctor.
"I don't even know if it's really like, if there was a point to the shut down," said Sam Puryear.
"Sad, sad day in America when our elected officials are playing games, and playing politics with the very people that sent then to office, wake up Congress," said Jack Henderson.
"We got another thing coming up the debt ceiling, and I got the feeling that there'll be a big squabble about that as well," said Austin O'Neil.
"I think my thoughts on the shutdown are best reflected by what my kindergarten teacher taught me which was play nice with the other kids," said Jillian Holzbauer.
"It would be nice for people to be able to go back to work and for friends and family that I know of to be able to get their jobs back," said Roxanne Baker.
"It's like 800,000 people without jobs now, and that's people with families, friends, bills they have to pay," said Vincent Bates.
"I watched my Dad work for the same company for 30 years, and I'm looking at our country now I don't think that's something that my generation or her generation is even going to have the option of," said Andy Palmer.
"You can't negotiate with a gun to your head, and that's what effectively the Tea Party caucus in the House is doing, putting a gun to our heads economically," said Rod Proctor.
"We got government employees who are either A; not getting paid, or B; getting their pays delayed," said Austin O'Neil.
"Let's put these people back to work, let's go ahead and increase the limit on the debt ceiling, and let's get Congress moving again, and let's get this country moving again," said Jack Henderson.
