Sooners Have A Lot Of New Faces

Posted: Updated:

The Big 12 Basketball Media Day took place Tuesday at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO.  University of Oklahoma head coach Lon Kruger and select players were on hand to take questions from the media.

The 2013-2014 Sooners will have a lot of new faces this season.  There are six guys who weren't on the team a year ago and and a couple of others who haven't seen much action in the crimson and cream.

But this summer Oklahoma used a five-game tour in Europe to get to know each other and bond.

"We've got five or six guys who haven't played any Big 12 minutes so for them to get a little more experience and a little more exposure was really good for them." said Kruger, "Don't know that we could have gotten more from the trip.  From the sight seeing and educational stand point it was very beneficial.  Again the ten days over there and the five games where really good for us."

The Sooners open exhibition action on against Washburn on Saturday, November 2nd and then they start playing them for real on November 8th against Alabama in Dallas, TX.
