Man Transported to Area Hospital After Reported Burglary Attempt

One man was transported to an area hospital Tuesday after a reported shooting in east Tulsa.

Tulsa Police were sent to the 31st and Garnett area after receiving word that a man was shot following a burglary attempt. It was there that several suspects attempted to make entry into an unidentified man's home.

Officials at the scene stated that the homeowner opened the door and was shot by one of the suspects. He received injuries to the arm and hand.

Emergency crews transported him to an area hospital. Police are now looking for the suspects.
