Investigators have released a preliminary report this week for a plane crash the killed a Pryor couple.
Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board stated in their report that the plane carrying Ivan and Adina Williams descended at a high rate of speed before crashing in western Arkansas.
According to the preliminary report, officials didn't list a cause for the crash at this time. But the report noted that Ivan Williams advised air traffic controllers of "bad weather" along his flight route.
The report says a controller advised Williams to fly around the stormy weather. A report from the Associated Press stated that witnesses saw the plane descending quickly shortly before controllers lost radio contact with Williams.
The plane's wreckage was discovered a day after the Oct. 21 crash near Huntsville.
Williams was president and chief executive officer of Williams Construction Co. in Pryor, Okla.
