Harrison's Game-High 21 Not Enough At Missouri State

Shaquille Harrison scored 21 points, including 16 in the second half, but it was not enough as the Tulsa basketball team fell to Missouri State, 96-93, Saturday evening at JQH Arena.

The Golden Hurricane (0-2) led 43-39 at the half and 76-74 with 6:00 remaining, but the Bears (2-0) broke a 77-77 tie with 5:22 remaining and held on to the lead for the remainder of the game.

Rashad Smith scored 19 points and D'Andre Wright had 11 points for the Hurricane, which shot 49 percent from the field, making 29-of-59 shots. TU also connected on 79 percent of its free throws, going 30-38 from the line. Smith alone made 9-of-11 free throw attempts.

Missouri State shot 50 percent from the field (27-of-54) making nine 3-pointers, and was led in scoring by Dorrian Williams, who finished with 20 points. The Bears made 33-of-49 free throws, and held a 38-33 rebounding advantage.

The Golden Hurricane plays host to No. 16 Wichita State Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
