For the 18th straight year either Jenks or Union will win the Oklahoma Class 6A State Football Championship. The Jenks Trojans ran all over the Jaguars of Westmoore Friday night at Yukon High School, 46-14. The Trojans jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back. Jenks has now won 27 straight games dating back to last season.
The Union Redskins faced off with the Broken Arrow Tigers Friday night at Owasso High School. Union came out ready to play and build a 16-nothing lead off a screen pass for a touchdown, a field goal and a blocked punt that was returned for a score. Broken Arrow got it going and pulled to within seven at the half, 16-9 Union. The second half belonged to the Redskins as they go on to win 30-18.
The Jenks Trojans and the Union Redskins will settle the 6A State Championship next Thursday night at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater at 7:00pm.
