Sheriff Deputies Collecting Toys For Toy Drive

Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is hosting the FOP #188 Mike Clancy Food and Toy Drive for the community.

Deputies are collecting new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations for food to help those who need it most.

Deputies patrolling the streets and working in the jail and juvenile detention center select the recipients because they see firsthand the crisis these families go through.

Deputies will volunteer to take the money and shop for each child.

The toy drive is named for Mike Clancy, a lieutenant who would dress up as Santa and use his own money to pass out food, toys and clothing. The tradition has been carried on long after his passing.

Jerry Murphy of Murphy Brothers Exposition has generously donated to the cause.

If you would like to give, contact the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.
