The Tulsa Count District Attorney's Office has issued a warrant for a suspect involved in the murder of a west Tulsa man.

According to Tulsa homicide detectives, an arrest warrant was issued for 33-year-old LaRon Tucker of Bristow for the shooting death of Kendall Austin, 23, in October.

The release issued by Tulsa detectives states that evidence indicates that Tucker was shot during the gunfire that resulted in Austin's death.

The shooting incident occurred near 5000 S. 36th West Avenue on Oct. 1. According to officials at the scene of the shooting, one group was near the front porch of the residence and another group were in a dark-colored SUV. The incident then escalated to a gun fight.

Police officers have not been able to locate Tucker in Bristow or surrounding communities. Investigators believe there is a possibility that Tucker fled to the Oklahoma City area.

Tucker was listed as being held in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for possession of a controlled and dangerous substance with intent to distribute, second degree forgery and other complaints. He was incarcerated until October 25, 2011.
