Woman Booked After Allegedly Shooting Man in Head

Posted: Updated:

Serena Dodson was booked today on complaints of shooting with intent to kill after allegedly shooting a man in the head in Osage County last night.

Deputies said the hospital notified them that Shawn Bunch, the victim, died this morning.

The shooting occurred at 7:30 yesterday evening at the 300 block of 197 Street West in Sand Springs.

When units arrived, they found a 48 year-old that had been shot in the head with a handgun according to Charlie Cartwright, Osage County Sheriff's Office chief criminal investigator.

The victim was transported by EMSA and subsequently by Life Flight to a hospital in Tulsa.

Cartwright believes the woman was the fiancee to the male that was shot. He said she will likely be arraigned in court later this week.

The Osage County Sheriff's Office, Green Country Fire Department, EMSA, Sand Springs Fire Department and Life Flight all responded to the incident.

When they arrived, the man was unconscious, unresponsive and very critical, according to Cartwright.

Neighbor Greg Ramsey said Bunch was friendly and oftentimes kept to himself. Ramsey saw police take Dodson to jail.

"She was screaming, hollering about her Hello Kitty stuff and her dog," he said.

Channel 8 spoke with Bunch's daughter via Facebook. She said her father had a heart of gold and would help anyone and wants to see justice served.
