Tulsa Sheriff's Vehicle Burglarized, Rifle Stolen

According to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office, a rifle and other items were stolen from a vehicle on Dec. 17.

Between 1 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, a long rifle, night vision goggles and other tactical gear were stolen from a marked Tahoe belonging to the Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred near 91st and Delaware in Tulsa.  

According to the release, the suspect or suspects took a long range FN Special Police 308 rifle with a custom tan camouflage paint scheme from the vehicle.

Detective Marshall Eldridge stated that the rifle and gear were stolen from a vehicle outside of an apartment complex. Eldridge said that about 10 items were taken, including the rifle. 

Eldridge said the rifle and gear were locked away inside the car, which is standard procedure for all sheriff's deputies.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500 for any information that leads to the return of the weapon. Anybody with information concerning this burglary is asked to call Detective Eldridge at 918-596-8661.
