Cowboys and Tigers Renew A Rivalry

Posted: Updated:

Bowl games are usually played between teams that don't see each other very often, but in the wake of conference realignment the Oklahoma State Cowboys have been matched up with former Big 12 foe Missouri.

These two have played 51 times. The tigers lead the series, but the Cowboys have won the last three.

It's been two years since Mizzou bolted for the SEC and the pokes are excited to renew the rivalry.

"Since I've been here we've played them twice." said OSU Senior Receiver Charlie Moore, "My redshirt year and the Fiesta Bowl year.  It's got a little Big 12 rivalry to it.  So it will be cool to play an old Big 12 team.  They're a good team.  We're going to play hard.  They're going to play hard.  It's going to be a big game."

The Cowboys and the Tigers renew their rivalry in the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium.  The game is on Friday, January the 3rd at 7:00pm.
