A west Tulsa school was locked down Friday morning after being notified of a shooting suspect in the area.
Administrators placed Eugene Field on lock down around 8:45 a.m. after receiving word from Tulsa Police that a suspect they were pursuing was in the area.
A spokesperson with the TPD told KTUL that the suspect had reportedly shot another individual during an altercation. Cops arrived on scene and proceeded to look for the suspect.
At the scene the victim had been shot three times and transported by a private vehicle to an area hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Little information was available about the suspect. But police are still searching for the individual described as being dressed in all dark clothing.
TPS lifted the lock down and classes resumed as normal.
