Posted: Updated:

Tulsa investigators placed a man under arrest after reportedly finding human remains near Turley this past weekend.

Charles Johnson was taken into custody and booked on a first degree murder complaint. This was after the remains were found near a wooded area at 500 E 66 SN.

Tulsa Police allege that Johnson reportedly killed the missing person and has been driving around that person's vehicle. He was arrested in that stolen vehicle Sunday.

It also was later revealed that he has been questioned in connection to the murder of four people in the 1300 block of North New Haven on Nov. 23, according to a statement from the TPD Homicide Unit.

"Homicide investigators had previously interviewed Johnson in regards to the murders on North New Haven," according to the statement. Multiple authorities have been "actively stopping known users and abusers of methamphetamine" in regards to the murder investigation.

The statement went on to add that detectives have "received very little unsolicited information from the methamphetamine community or from anyone with information" on the murders on New Haven.

Anyone with information on the murder on New Haven or this latest murder call Crime Stoppers at 918 596 2677.
