Salvation Army Serves Christmas Dinner

Posted: Updated:

The Salvation Army served Christmas dinner today at the Center of Hope in downtown Tulsa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to Tulsans who wanted to come by and get a hot meal.

According to D.J. Morrow, Salvation Army's Public Relations director, they host the dinner every year in order to give thanks to the Tulsa community for their generosity during the holiday season.

With the help of 50 volunteers, Morrow helped to serve around 500 people who came for a hot meal.

Morrow said the point of the event is to serve the guests rather than make them go through a line.
